Academic Posts - Registrars

Registrars are encouraged to consider completing an Academic Post during their training. These are usually undertaken during the Advanced or Subsequent Term, or as added time after completion of core training.

Academic Posts are normally 0.5FTE for 12 months concurrent with a 0.2-0.5FTE clinical training post. A reduced FTE commitment is available for Registrars with family or other responsibilities.

Details of Academic Posts are available at: www.agpt.com.au/TrainingPosts/Academictraining

Talk with your Medical Educator if you are interested in applying for an Academic Post. He or she will be able to put you in touch with Registrars who are currently undertaking an Academic Post or have recently completed one.
