As the Medicare Local for Western Sydney, WentWest is comprehensively examining after hours primary health care services and developing a needs assessment for the region. Through consultation with GPs, other health providers and stakeholders as well as the community, we aim to identify and prioritise gaps in existing services in order to improve access, awareness and coordination of After Hours services. The research into current needs and arrangements will culminate in a 2012-2013 After Hours Plan, contributing to more holistic, timely, affordable and suitable care in the region.
WentWest is seeking the views and opinions of the local community to contribute to the development of After Hours care, particularly from frequent users of After Hours services, and under-serviced or disadvantaged groups. If you would like to contribute to the discussion and development of After Hours care please contact one of our team members listed below.
