Recall and Reminder Systems
A Recall is an important appointment that relates to the patients current situation, normally to discuss an abnormal report, test or result. It is the Doctor's duty of care to ensure the patient attends the practice and the consultation is documented. A set number of attempts (minimum 3) are required.
A Reminder is an appointment to provide routine preventative care i.e. Pap Smears, Immunisation, Health Assessments etc. In this instance the duty of care lies with the patient to attend the practice once contacted.
