Western Sydney Partners in Recovery

Western Sydney Partners In Recovery (WSPIR) aims to support people who have severe and persistent mental illness with complex needs. The main focus is to help improve the quality of life of a person, allowing them to restore a sense of hope and social inclusion in the western Sydney community.
WSPIR work closely with the individual, their carers and families in order to achieve their recovery goals. The initiative is led by WentWest, working in partnership with Aftercare, WISE Employment, Uniting Recovery, Mission Australia and Flourish Australia.

Partnered with

WSPIR and the National Disability Insurance Scheme

From 1 July 2016, WSPIR began the process of transitioning current clients onto the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to assess their eligibility for access to the Scheme.

To ensure service continuity during transition and to support client transition to the NDIS, the Australian government has extended WSPIR to 30th June 2019. Those WSPIR clients deemed ineligible for the NDIS will continue to receive WSPIR care coordination support under Continuity of Support (CoS) arrangements.
